On what would have been the 27th birthday of Christopher Duncan of San Antonio, a Bexar County jury on Tuesday convicted a homeless drifter from Florida of his 2008 murder.

The jury took less than two hours to find Kristi Lynn Tebo, 37, helped hack Duncan to death with a machete.

“We've been waiting for this for three years,” Duncan's partner, Jason Woodward, said after hearing the verdict. “Getting to this point is like justice is a birthday present for him.”
