'No Refusal' goes 24/7 in Comal County
NEW BRAUNFELS — Starting this holiday weekend, law enforcement agents who stop suspected drunken drivers throughout most of Comal County will not be taking no for an answer.
The majority of the county is going to a “No Refusal” policy from May 27 until Sept. 5. That means suspects who refuse to complete field sobriety tests will be further coerced to submit to blood tests, said Mel Koehler, the county’s misdemeanor chief prosecutor.
