Deputy injured in crash is released from hospital

A Bexar County sheriff's deputy who was seriously injured in a Friday afternoon collision with a suspected drunken driver was released from Methodist Hospital early Saturday morning, authorities said.

Deputy Jeffery Phillip was injured when the suspected drunken driver rear-ended his patrol car while he was parked and directing traffic on Interstate 35.

Police arrested at the scene Ronald Yarbro, 64, of Big Foot, in connection with the incident. He was released from jail early Saturday.
