Northside Suburban wins title
By Bill Mitchell - Express-NewsROXANA, Del. — This time around, the Northside Suburban All-Stars proved to be unstoppable.
On Saturday, the San Antonio team made the most of its first trip to Delaware with a 3-1 come-from-behind victory over Haverstraw, N.Y., in the Senior League Softball World Series championship game. The win punctuated a remarkable 17-0 run for Northside Suburban through the five levels of all-star tournaments.
Last year, Northside came within a victory of qualifying for the World Series, falling in the Southwest regional title game in 11 innings.
