A hot day for arresting hot check fugitives

Its supposed to be pretty hot here in San Antonio today.

Even hotter if you're a hot check writer with an outstanding warrant for your arrest.


Hot check roundup begins

Beginning Tuesday, Bexar County deputies plan to look for and arrest more than 60 people suspected of writing hot checks, authorities said.

A news release from District Attorney Susan Reed's office states investigators and criminal warrant deputies will start knocking on doors at 5 a.m. But they won't stop there.

“The arrest teams will be searching for the fugitives at their home, school or place of employment,” the release states.
