Woman is handed 40-year term
By Valentino Lucio - Express-NewsA San Antonio woman was sentenced to 40 years in prison Friday afternoon for shooting and killing her ex-husband's former girlfriend in the parking lot of an animal clinic last year.
Leticia Arcos, 37, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder for the fatal shooting of Kristy Appleby in February 2009.
Arcos accosted Appleby, 32, in the parking lot of the animal clinic where she worked, then chased and shot her multiple times as at least six people watched.
