Where's the fire buddy?

Okay he was charged with stealing gas and you haven't let him go from the VOLUNTEER fire department because the charges are still pending.

What about having sex in a parked car with a minor? You think you can remove him from the VOLUNTEER roster now?

If not, why not?

Jeeze Louise!

Suspended Putnam volunteer firefighter faces sex charge

PHILIPSTOWN - A suspended North Highlands volunteer firefighter, charged earlier this year with stealing gas from the department, faces new charges after a Putnam deputy caught him engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl inside a parked car, police said today.

William Kivel, 19, of 3501 Route 9, Philipstown, was arrested Saturday and charged with sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a minor, misdemeanors, police said.

Putnam Deputy Thomas Corless was patrolling on Horseman's Trail around 8 p.m. when he stopped to investigate a parked car, police said. Inside, Kivel and the girl were involved in what police described as "consensual sexual activity."

Kivel was charged in October with two misdemeanor counts of petty larceny for allegedly stealing gas from the North Highlands Fire Department, which led to his suspension from the department.

Fire Chief Charles Nolen said today that the department has not yet moved to officially remove Kivel from its roster because the charges involving the gas are still pending in town court.
