Mother of the Year Award?

Wow, after seeing these next posts I figured either there is such an award and this is a competition or they want to beat out Britney, who otherwise had a lock on it.

Georgia Mom Charged With Fatally Stabbing Her 2 Toddlers in Store Bathroom

AUGUSTA, Ga. — A 22-year-old woman fatally stabbed her two children, 1 and 3, inside a convenience store bathroom Thursday, police said.
A worker at the Food Mart store in south Augusta told police she saw the woman enter the restroom with the two children, a boy and girl, and then heard a scream, Richmond County Sheriff Ronnie Strength said.
The worker called 911, and when deputies arrived they forced the door open and found the woman on the floor, holding a steak knife and covered in the children's blood.
Jordon Hawes, 1, and Shakayla Hawes, 3, were pronounced dead upon arrival at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital.

Wisconsin Toddler, 1, Left in Day Care Van Overnight

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Milwaukee police were investigating how a 1-year-old asthmatic was left in a locked-up day care van overnight in the cold, MyFoxMilwaukee.com reports.
Click here to view a video report at MyFoxMilwaukee.com.

The van was supposed to drop off Zakia Goff at her home at 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, where her mother was waiting to meet her after working second shift at her job.
“I was just praying to God, like ‘Please God, bring my baby back,’” the toddler’s mother, Denise Lindsey, said.
After waiting outside for the van and then calling relatives, emergency contacts and the Sunrise to Sunset day care, which was closed, Lindsey called 911 at midnight.
Police arrived at the parking lot at 12:30 a.m. and broke open the locked gate to reach the van, where they found the child asleep in her booster seat.
“She could have frozen because it’s really cold outside,” said Lindsey, adding that Zakia is an asthmatic who takes medication and uses a breathing machine.

Day care personnel declined to comment on the incident. (Boy, I bet they did)

Bad parents bare all on Bad Mom websites

LOS ANGELES (Reuters Life!) - It was, when she looks back on it, a fairly routine disaster. Late one Sunday, after a busy weekend with three kids, working mother Romi Lassally was staring down at a pile of her son's vomit in her hallway.

"I left it there. I hoped the dog would eat it," she said.

But when the dog failed to oblige, Lassally was left cleaning up and with a feeling that she'd sunk to a new maternal low so she did what she often does when mortified -- picked up the phone and called a girlfriend.

"She was amused and disgusted," she says. "I felt better right away. At that moment I knew I was on to something."

That "something" was True Mom Confessions (www.truemomconfessions.com), an online posting board for moms to share their worst mistakes, misdeeds and misgivings.
