Two stabbed with broken bottle
Express-News -

An argument turned violent late Sunday as two people were stabbed — one critically — under the West Commerce Street Bridge near downtown, police said.

Police Sgt. John Slaughter said a group of people socializing under the bridge by North Medina and West Commerce streets got into an argument, when one brandished a broken bottle and stabbed a man and a woman about 10:30 p.m.

The man, Slaughter said, was stabbed at least one time in the neck area. He was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The woman was cut in an unidentified area and taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Slaughter said.

The stabbing occurred by the train tracks under the bridge, Slaughter said, but the victims managed to stumble about a block down to the SAMMinistries shelter in the 900 block of West Commerce. Neither was immediately identified late Sunday.
