nwfdailynews.com -

FORT WALTON BEACH - A man who gave an Okaloosa County Sheriff's deputy permission to search his apartment left a container full of cocaine residue in plain view in his bedroom.

On July 13 the deputy contacted the man at his Cypress Street residence. The arrest report didn't indicate why the deputy got in touch with the man, but during that time the man allowed the deputy to search his apartment.

The deputy found a small container containing a white powder residue in the bedroom. It tested positive for cocaine.
