True Christmas spirit!
Ex-gang members spread Christmas cheer in old neighborhood
By Vincent T. Davis - Express-News
With a rap on the door, Christmas came early for Rebecca Carrillo and her two babies Thursday morning.
Her gifts came courtesy of former West Side gang members who turned
their lives around and came together to give back to three families in
need in the old neighborhood where they were raised, called Ghost Town.
Leonardo “Lalo” Mendez, 66; Luz “Louie” H. Gallegos, 66; Juan Guajardo, 65; Hector “Pro” Caldera, 65; and Alfred “Curly” Palacio, 59, are members of a group called the Ghost Town Survivors.
