UPDATE on closing arguments and deliberations
UPDATE:
After a very short deliberation the jury returned a guilty verdict shortly after lunch. Since he has a prior conviction for having done virtually the same thing in Alabama, (even though it was a misdemeanor offense in Alabama, it is a felony offense here in Texas) he will be looking at a mandatory life sentence if the jury finds he had committed the prior and it was he that had the conviction, beyond a reasonable doubt.
