The following “bizarre” reports were on file this week with Murfreesboro Police Department.
A Jackson Street resident complained a woman knocked on her door about 1:30 a.m. last Saturday and asked for her goddaughter, Officer Matt Manor reported. The resident replied the goddaughter wasn’t there. The woman knocked again and threw a beer bottle into the home.
Manor located the woman identified as Wendy Holman, 26, of adjoining Courtland Street. He charged her with public intoxication.
While waiting in the back of the police cruiser, Manor accused Holman of kicking out the rear window. He charged her with vandalism.

A husband punched a man several times after finding him talking to his wife in a South Church Street parking lot, Officer Joe Zeltner reported. The man was arrested because he was wanted in Williamson County on unrelated charges.

A customer known only as “Ken” picked up his car from Access Auto Repair, Officer Michael Fowler reported. When employees brought the car to him, Ken jumped in and drove away without paying for a $374 repair bill.
Fowler obtained “Ken’s” last name and address, advising the owner about his options to receive his payment.

A pedestrian trying to buy cocaine ended up in jail.
While patrolling, Officer Mark Moghaddam noticed a woman attempting to hide behind a tree near a business on State Street and Maney Avenue.
“When I man contact with her, she stated she was trying to buy crack,” Moghaddam reported.
Moghaddam found she was wanted for contempt of court so he booked her in at the jail.
