The tumult continues at New Braunfels-based The Scooter Store.

In a statement Tuesday, the provider of scooters, power chairs and other medical equipment said it terminated 220 people employed in all parts of its business.

The cuts represent slightly less the 10 percent of The Scooter Store's workforce, which now numbers about 2,100. About 1,400 currently work at its headquarters, company spokesman Tim Zipp said.
