After the relentless heat of the hottest summer in San Antonio on record. No rain, a deep recession, crime, and myriad other things this was a great way to end the summer.

One last 'thank you' for McAllister Park

Confused tourists on the River Walk added their whoops and hollers to those of the 1,000 McAllister Park fans who celebrated the homecoming of San Antonio's best-performing Little League team Sunday.
Their cheers sent flocks of ducks scattering in front of a three-barge parade.
“Knowing that they represented this city, to me that means so much because they are our boys,” said Becky Veliz, who watched the nationally televised baseball games with her husband.
