East Lansing's Wibert chosen as next NB police chief
NEW BRAUNFELS - Thomas Wibert, chief of police for the East Lansing (Mich.) Police Department, was named the new police chief of New Braunfels on Tuesday.
"I'm thrilled. I'm excited," said Wibert in a phone interview from East Lansing Tuesday afternoon. "I've lived in Michigan my entire life. I was born here - and so Texas is something entirely new. I'm going to sell my snow blower for cheap - or maybe it'll blow leaves."
