Thank you student volunteers.
What a great thing for you to do and Man o' Law salutes you for it!
God Bless you all.
Students lend a hand to improve classrooms
Come Monday, second-graders at Westwood Terrace Elementary School will walk into their classrooms to a surprise on the level of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”
They'll see brightly painted walls and decorative touches, thanks to high school volunteers who gave up some of their holiday vacation to help Friday. Some 30 students are expected to pitch in through Sunday.
“I feel the school is beautiful, but it's going to look even better in their classrooms,” Principal Gracie Guess said Friday.
Westwood Terrace is in Northside Independent School District, and most of the student volunteers were from the district's Jay High School.
