Guilty on all counts in sex slavery case

Jurors returned four guilty verdicts Thursday night in the first human trafficking trial prosecuted by the Bexar County district attorney's office.

Besides the human trafficking conviction, Juan Moreno, 45, was found guilty after three hours of jury deliberation of super aggravated sexual assault of a child, aggravated kidnapping and compelling prostitution.

He showed no emotion as the verdicts were read by state District Judge Ron Rangel.

Moreno faces 25 years to life in prison without parole for the sexual assault charge. Human trafficking and aggravated kidnapping also are punishable by up to life in prison. Compelling prostitution carries a maximum term of 20 years.
